Les Elvin is the sole owner and operator of the business Kungera Art and a descendant of the Wanaruah people of the Upper Hunter region in eastern NSW, where he spent many hours as a child with his grandparents, learning about his culture.  A creative sole by nature, Les has a deep love for his art and his heritage.  Les is a successful Indigenous artist and Indigenous cultural teacher.  Building up his artistic passions over the past 14 years, Les is nationally recognised for his art and for his volunteer work supporting disadvantaged Aboriginal groups to explore their culture through art and educating non-Indigenous organisations about Traditional Aboriginal Culture and Practices. Les has been an active founding member of the Chamber since 2006. He was named Australian Aboriginal Artist of the Year at the annual NAIDOC event in 2008 and is currently at the epitome of his artistic career.
